These past 2 months, I have been able to construct a detailed scope for Honeywell Operator Training Systems (OTS) and present its benefits and improvements it can offer for the future of Operator Competency and Training in leading Oil and Gas Companies in Argentina. This experience has been wonderful, from being able to embrace the culture of Argentina to gaining firsthand experience of what it’s like to work within a globally known company, as well as with clients and partners such as Pan American Energy. I cannot wait to see what this means for the future of my career and where it may take me.

I created a commercial proposal for the implementation of drones in future pipeline projects following a two-week-long exploratory visit to the construction of GPNK, el Gasoducto Presidente Néstor Kirchner (President Néstor Kirchner Gas Pipeline), in La Pampa, Argentina.
At the close of the internship, I took part in a closing ceremony with the other international interns at Pan American Energy, CGC, Tenaris, and Honeywell, and we even got to meet the American Ambassador to Argentina, Marc R. Stanley. It was a wonderful finale to an amazing experience.

I am immensely grateful for the enriching experience I had as a Field Operations Engineer during my 2-month internship. Working on a project focused on exploring repair opportunities in Injection Meshes in Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina, was an incredibly insightful endeavor. As a Mechanical Engineer, I was able to delve into the intricacies of this field and contribute to real-world solutions.

Embarking on a transformative journey this summer, I immersed myself in a CGC internship in Argentina, revealing a unique blend of professional growth and cultural exploration that etched a profound mark on my path as an aspiring engineer.
My summer was dedicated to analyzing port operations at the Punta Loyola port terminal in Río Gallegos. One of the highlights of my internship was stepping onto a vessel transporting crude oil and engaging with a diverse crew, predominantly from Ukraine. This experience illuminated the complexities of crude oil transport, heightening my understanding of the energy sector. Site visits offered further insights into oil drilling, gas processing plants, and crude oil storage units.

My internship was a fundamental piece of my professional development and was also a fantastic introduction to the wonderful people, landscapes and food of the Argentine Republic. As a marketing and sales (B2B) intern, I had the pleasure of speaking with many of our loyal customers to learn how we could better our technology in order to improve their experience. My team was passionate about helping our customers get fast, reliable customer service, and my fellow interns and I loved the friendly atmosphere of the company and the cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires. I appreciated the opportunity to explore the important role of the company I was in in the Argentine economy. I couldn't get enough of Argentina, so I even returned a year later to conduct academic research there. If you haven't applied yet, what are you waiting for?

The Argentina Internship Program was definitely an unconventional internship, because it not only gave me the opportunity to learn about the energy sector and grow professionally, but it also allows you to be part of an organization that transforms itself day by day to consolidate itself in a rapidly evolving market. Also, as if that were not enough, you have the opportunity to do a cultural immersion in Argentina, a country with its own identity, charming little streets and stories on every corner. Definitely, an unmissable experience that I would repeat without a doubt.

For me, the international internship was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. The welcome and attention from everyone was incredible from the beginning. I enjoyed every moment I spent there both professionally and personally. My favorite part was getting to meet so many people from different places and personalities and getting to learn and share with them during my two months there. I loved the culture, the people, and the country, and I would repeat this experience 100%. I think it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about the industry and interact and get to know such a special culture.
