We strongly believe in learning by doing and taking education outside of the traditional classroom. And now you can get academic credit for your experiential learning through the Puentes Internship Program at a much lower cost than most university tuition.

• Get 3, 6, or 9 university credits upon successful completion of the Puentes Remote or In-Person Internship Program.

• Complete a brief Academic Credit Form and submit payment no later than two weeks after your program’s start date.

• Participate fully in your Puentes program by completing your internship successfully and by attending all professional development and cultural activities in order to be awarded the academic credit.

• Receive one transcript, mailed or e-mailed to your chosen address. Additional transcripts are available for a small fee.

• Your home university must approve the transferable credit.

hours and Fees

The academic credit hours awarded recognize the internship hours worked, as well as the participation time in the Puentes professional development and cultural immersion programming. You decide how much academic credit you’d like to receive:

• 3 academic credits = minimum of 105 total internship hours worked = US$300 academic credit fee

• 6 academic credits = between 106 and 225 total internship hours worked = US$600 academic credit fee

• 9 academic credits = between 226 and 345 total internship hours worked = US$900 academic credit fee
