  • You can go to the on-call doctors (“emergencia”), or book an appointment with a specialist doctor.

  • Remember to bring your original passport, insurance card, and a credit/debit card to the hospital.

  • Ensure you understand how your international health insurance works, including what’s covered and how to file a claim. Typically, you can either seek pre-approval for a visit or pay out of pocket and file a claim afterward.
