  • You can go to the on-call doctor (“emergencia” or “guardia”), or book an appointment with a specialist doctor.

  • Remember to bring your original passport, insurance card, and a credit/debit card to the hospital.

  • Ensure you understand how your international health insurance works, including what’s covered and how to file a claim. Typically, you can either seek pre-approval for a visit or pay out of pocket and file a claim afterward.

 

Pharmacies/Drugstores (“Farmacias”)

Local pharmacies: Tao Pehuenes, Tao del Lago, Zona Vital Moreno, among many other smaller chains.

You can visit any nearby pharmacy to purchase medicine. Medicine is not sold in grocery stores. Search “farmacia” on Google Maps to find your closest pharmacy.
