Government Student Exchange Organization

This initiative was established by the U.S. Congress in 1946.  Their mission is to foster mutual understanding between the United States and other countries by means of educational and cultural exchanges that assist in the development of peaceful relations. The Government Student Exchange Organization has granted more than 400,000 scholarships for study and research across 160 countries worldwide. The alumni of this program have gone on to achieve distinctions in many fields, notably including 60 Nobel Prize recipients, 89 Pulitzer Prize winners, 75 MacArthur Foundation Fellows, and 40 current or former heads of state or government.

MARKETING AND WRITING INTERN

The intern will be tasked with providing ideas to create engaging messages to reach out to potential audiences through social media.  The intern will also be responsible for gathering statistical information from grantees’ applications for internal charts and/or marketing purposes. 

Suggested Spanish level: Advanced
Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate will be self-motived, enthusiastic, and committed to the mission. The intern will have writing skills in both English and Spanish and will be able to work with little guidance. They should be proficient in design tools such as Adobe Pro and Photoshop. An academic background in communications or education is preferred.
