Grassroots Feminist Organization

This organization fosters feminist collective activism by striving to advance equal participation of women and other minority groups in different areas of social life and to assist researchers worldwide in their work on feminist theory and gender issues studies. Its flagship project is a library and documentation center that hosts over 25,000 books and materials regarding trans-feminist theory and literature by women authors. In addition, they also run a research and training center that provides a variety of training and capacity-building programs for women and historically marginalized groups in the community.

In the words of past interns:

“I appreciated the chance to expand my network in this field as I am looking towards a career in feminist causes in the future. I also think that my ability to work in a hybrid setting was impactful as it gave me a lot of creative reign and ability to set higher expectations for my work, as much of it was self-motivated.” - Celine C., Feminist Library Intern , from the University of Pennsylvania
