Anti-Malnutrition Foundation is a non-profit organization that fights against the scourge of child malnutrition in Argentina and Latin America. It was founded by Dr. Abel Pascual Albino in Mendoza, Argentina, on September 4, 1993, taking the Chile Model of Recovery Centers (CRN), and complementing it with Centers for the Prevention of Child Malnutrition and Human Promotion (CPP) .
Through the actions and programs implemented, the organization seeks to provide a comprehensive response to the social problems of extreme poverty, based on three pillars: education, assistance and research.
The Foundation has two model centers, one for recovery and one for the prevention of child malnutrition in Las Heras, Mendoza. In turn, it forms a network of solidarity franchises with more than 100 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) that voluntarily join the Foundation’s mission, replicating its methodology. Most in Argentina, and some in Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela and the Gambia.
The Anti-Malnutrition Foundation provides care from pregnancy to 5 years of age, paying special attention to the "first 1000 critical days" of children. It also works with different programs that complement its actions.
