This is an award-winning eco-hotel located on the beach in the heart of Peninsula Valdés, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and wildlife reserve renowned as one of the best spots to see whales. The nature reserve of Peninsula Valdés is a complete eco-system that offers an opportunity to interact closely with an incredible variety of wildlife and birth species in their natural environment.
The luxury eco-hotel was built with the environment in mind. The walls are made of Retak brick, a special insulating product that helps maintain ambient temperature and reduce noise transference between rooms. The condominium uses a water recycling system so that, in the desert climate, every drop is respected, re-using this precious resource whenever possible. Rather than heating and cooling with a system reliant on coal-produced electricity and transported condensed natural gas, the hotel has installed a Geo-Thermal system to manage the interior climate of the building and address the heating, cooling, and hot water needs. There is also a solar energy system as an alternative source to further reduce the draw from the electrical grid.
